It always annoys me how bent out of shape people get over pronunciation of city and place names in other languages. Some languages have different sounds and thus things are said differently.

The Chinese word for Australia is "Audaliya" and even the frothist of frothers don't go complaining about it (I hope)

My leg still ouchies from yesterday's morning cramp so that's fun.

Also I went to woolies for cat supplies (only thing I still get from there) and the chemist for me supplies and ended up spending $180. I miss when $180 was a lotta fucking money to me

In short:

Documents obtained by the ABC have revealed the conditions dogs and puppies were kept in at the now-closed dog breeder, Tasmanian Labradoodles.

A vet's report says the dogs were severely underweight, had no bedding, were overbred, and their fur was so matted they couldn't see.

What's next?

The RSPCA says it tried to shut down the dog breeder for years and is now calling for stronger animal welfare legislation to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

I started learning Chinese through this largely because it's free with my library membership. Does anyone have any experience with it? I think I've learned while using it, I can string together some sentences.

It doesn't seem to focus much on characters, but has reading sections that I can't do because I don't know them. I can read some pinyin and it lets me mouse over characters to see that though.

Six Labor MPs including assistant minister Ged Kearney want their government to change its decision not to include gender identity and sexuality in the census.

Labor frontbenchers have said the decision was made to avoid a "divisive" debate but the MPs say the government should stick to the principle in Labor's national platform.
