Stable resale value is indeed a great perk of an iPhone when compared to phones running Android.

Is this book more hard or soft scifi?

What did you like about the book, if you liked it al all.

Hows the spiciness level? 1-10 pepper scale.

I havent yet dealt with the customer service so this is indeed something to keep in the back of my head.

Does internxt and skiff also provide fully setup nextcloud instances or do you need to set it up yourself?

I’m reading that nextcloud tends to break whenever you update it or perform administrative tasks. Hetzner does al this for you so that’s a bonus item.

I also take a lot of handwritten notes but disliked the hand writing UI on Onenote, I’m using Goodnotes for this.

It would be great to have all my notes in one system but I don’t mind that much. Goodnotes has good OCR so I can search my notes.

I finished it and read the sequel, loved the Shrike story line but there’s better scifi to read in my opinion.

Assuming you don’t have any mental health issues make sure you make every day worth living.

If you do have mental health issues you should probably get that looked at by a professional.

If you feel like life is a drag, and you dislike it, change it.

Try a new sport, build that hobby project you’ve always wanted, buy a motorcycle, plan a boardgame night with friends family, try that fetish you’ve been eyeing your whole life.

Don’t be a passenger in your own life.

I’ve heard of them before but the pricing seems pretty steep. I now see they also have a free trial plan, I’ll check that out.

Thanks!

Wondering hoe long it’s going to take for someone to mention Linux in the comments

You go to this website from Hetzner:

https://www.hetzner.com/storage/storage-share

You sign up for one of the plans, cheapest is 5.11 EUR a month. You’ll get 1 TB of storage for this.

Storage Share is essentially some space on a server from Hetzner where the Nextcloud software is already running.

… and I wonder why I’m no longer drinking.

I stopped because I only wanted more after my first. This was a problem as me and my friends were doing this every every in the weekend.

Stopping with drinking was a huge relief as I no longer suffered from crippling hangovers.

This is now years ago and my life, and the people around me, has changed. Everyone calmed down with the drinks and is no longer going on benders. People now drink casually as “normal” people do.

I wonder if I could do it because I do miss the taste of the drinks and slight buzz. On the other hand I feel blessed to have discovered this secret power of a life without alcohol and hangovers.

I’m arriving at Naritaa Airport at 08:35 and would like to continue my journey by train to Kyoto.

I’ve found I can take the Naritaa Express to Shinagawa. From there I can take the Shinkansen Hikari on the Tokaido line to Kyoto.

The problem is I’d like to reserve/purchase tickets beforehand. I understand I can purchase them online and I’ll need to pick them up. It seems that I can’t pick them up on Naritaa airport or in Tokyo because the Tokaido line is operated by JR West whilst Tokyo is in JR East.

If I purchase a train ticket online from Naritaa Airport to Kyoto where can I pick this up on the Naritaa airport?
