Nextlander podcast. Former giant bomb crew, older group of people who have been in the industry for years, often very funny, good analysis

So far the only comments have been 'everyone knows this already', but I did not, so thank you for posting it

idk why, but I want a big flying saucer or cube with one large open floor plan. It seems goofy in all the ways I appreciate these games being goofy. People will have these super advanced, sleekly engineered ships, and I'll be running around in a giant circle or borg cube.

Started teardown this weekend. Really great voxel game with emphasis on destruction physics. The campaign turns it into a heist type game, where you have to figure out a way to get a lot of stuff to a particular space with 1 minute. It's a great loop of thinking about how to do it, preparing with all the destruction tools at your disposal, and then executing the plan faster and faster until you succeed. It has the structure of hotline miami that way. It also has creative mode and a lot of great mods. It's on sale for $22.50 during the steam sale as well, recommend it.

Reddit burning down. I've seen it happen with other sites before, so I feel I know when it's time to move on. The cycle continues. Let's hope Lemmy sticks around longer.

That has been the reasoning from Reddit. I believe it's one of those business conveniences where yes, he's not wrong, and gives them an excuse to kill something they think is extracting revenue from them (3rd party apps). Convenient excuse, but no one believes it.
