Ah got it. Two sources I wish I knew about in the beginning are Xah Lee and Mastering Emacs. I linked keybinding specific pages, but both have a LOT of content and are super helpful. I've never read them start to finish, but just picked topics I was interested in learning about.

The article seems to say that the tank was there before Hamas. So maybe the ravers were caught in the crossfire.
