I would say there's a good focus on fixes, with lots of features to help moderate and some QoL additions. There's a full list of additions and changes here: https://lemmy.zip/post/16924449

I wouldn't say for the end-user there is an immediate change to anything, however these changes all add up to a better experience overall.

Thanks - I mean it makes no sense to me why that would suddenly let it start working, but glad it has! It should "just work" though, so I'll keep having a play with it!

Nope, definitely something going on with it... I test for months with no issues then suddenly it all stops working, classic :)

Yeah give Tesseract a shot - I think its "old" photon the UI is forked from so hopefully that should go away. Let me know if any issues though :)
