Of course he did, had to make a crass joke about some victim or other. SMH. We will have failed as a nation, as human beings, if we let him anywhere near a position of responsibility, by any definition of that word.

Going to prison for 7 years, at 69 years of age. For a crook that probably doesn’t even know her name. smh. The charge should be treason, that’s what she did.

That sounds costly!

Just try to not sort your recycling correctly in Japan. The Aunties won’t let you do it, and will instruct you for as long as it takes on the correct protocol.

No need for apologies. Each learns in their own way and in their own time. You can’t know what you haven’t learned. And you CAN learn to escape willful ignorance.

Back when I was in school, course load such that I had little time to work, I learned that dumpsters were a viable source for free food. Jamba is the diety of the dumpster, and we would praise the abundance. As an example, I had a friend who had visitors from Russia. I decided to swing by the grocer’s dumpsters, and ‘lo found all sorts of ripe fresh fruit. I took some, and left some for others to find. The Russians were amazed and delighted that there was anything free to be had in the US. Of course we are taught to look down on scavenging, foraging, gleaning. But who teaches that lesson? The owners.
I also learned the saying, “Not everything in the dumpster is for you.” Which teaches the importance of appreciation, sharing, and discernment.

I looked for polyamory communities on the fediverse, this morning. Somehow missed your Polyamory Alberta group, but somehow another user took the initiative and made [email protected]. So we’re off and running, pun intended. Blessings on our communities!

CrowdTangle Petition (foundation.mozilla.org)

Please consider signing this petition and sharing it broadly.

Meta has announced it will be abandoning CrowdTangle, its industry leading transparency tool, this August - in the middle of the biggest election year on record.

CrowdTangle is used by thousands of researchers, journalists and advocates to monitor political disinformation and hate speech on Facebook and Instagram.

The decision to kill this crucial tool without an equivalent replacement couldn’t come at a worse time: Elections affecting approximately half of the world’s population are taking place this year. Meta’s irresponsible decision poses a direct threat to our ability to safeguard the integrity of these elections - but we can still stop it.

Sign the petition now to call on Meta to maintain CrowdTangle during this critical period of elections worldwide to protect election integrity in 2024 and beyond!
