I have a picture of Tigger as the Carolina Panthers (NFL football team) logo

famously small towns of Macon, GA (150k population) and Homestead, FL (80k population).

I live in a town of 5k, so I'm sure it's the same.

What have you been playing? new games, old games. any thoughts?

on another site we had a thread that was simply to discuss what you've played recently and any general thoughts on those games. Thought I might kick it off here.

any other games they do like? what works for one 12 year old won't for another.

Menara - cooperative dexterity game, where you building towers Legendary - Marvel Superhero deckbuilding . "Semi" coop, but if you tweak the difficulty, the focus is on coop Flashpoint:Fire Rescue - Firemen. rescue people, fight fires.
Pandemic/Forbidden Island - this is the 'classic' coop. it's a little puzzly for my tastes, but it's popular.
D&D Adventure Games - Wrath of Ashardalon, Castle Ravenloft. alittle older, but scratches a coop dungeon crawler itch.

my son (11) really enjoys Aeon's End and Spirit Island.

S20 FE 5G

I've been seriously tempted to swap to a S23+, maybe when black friday rolls around.

Menara is what we graduated to after Rhino Hero Super Battle. It's always impressive to see on yhr table.

Have you looked at the expansion at all?

We moved to Menara after Rhino Hero Super battle. It's significantly harder, but it shouldn't be to difficult to tweak it if needed

As an alternative, I've been 3d printing bases to differentiate plastic miniatures. Similar to the bases in something like Argent or Blood Rage.

Obviously not as pretty as painted minis, but significantly easier to play with

No, it's how I said it. I just checked - there are a couple posts from Ruud's beehaw account over there discussing it. If you visit the conversation with an account not from lemmy.world, there are a number of posts that show up that we can't see.

power users and mods leaving. The big key is how moderation continues on reddit. whether the scab mods and those that stayed are able to control the bots and spam or not. if they can, then reddit continues mostly as normal.

I didn't think this made the beehaw stuff read only. I thought we got a snapshot from the moment they defederated, and it doesn't update after that. .world users can comment, but that's only on the snapshot that .world is storing. as time goes on it veers further and further from the 'real' content stored on beehaw.

My son is 12, and hasn't expressed any interest in Undaunted. But he really enjoys Aeon's End and Warhammer Invasion. WH:I is going to hard to find. Aeon's End is a co-op deckbuilder, that's pretty thinky and really leans into the coop aspect of things.

I have it sitting on my kitchen table. I've punched and organized since it came, but I haven't played yet.

I've seen the complaint about the rules a couple times now. That it really assumes you've played Star Wars Rebellion, if you haven't the rules aren't quite thorough enough

So tried out some PETG for the first time, and the first couple prints went really well. but I believe it's picked up quite a bit of moisture, sitting in the basement.

What's the current recommendation for a filament dryer? there was one on /r/3dprintingdeals a bit back, a Sunlu S2. is the S1 good enough, or should someone who's fairly recreational with everything spring for a S2? I see food dehydrators recommended sometimes, is there anything specific to look for in one?
