The holocaust wasn't just defined by degree, it was also defined by callous dehumanization.

Right now, Israeli political leaders are arguing that their soldiers didn't commit rape because only humans can be raped. That, to most people, is a Nazi level of dehumanization. Additionally, The imposed famine and the destruction of water infrastructure and hospitals will cause mass death that puts this in the ballpark of, but not exactly equalling, the holocaust.

Of course current events don't mirror Nazi Germany exactly- but the suffering and death evoke the Holocaust. It's a historical horror. If you don't find the comparison helpful, that's a valid opinion, but I think calling it denial is unfounded.

That decision comes years or decades after practice and learning, which people do because A) they find just noodling on the instrument fun, and/or b) they find improving their skill deeply rewarding, and/or c) they think guitar/music is just really cool.

A bad instrument can make the experience miserable, though. My first acoustic was fucking awful, just straight trash. How long does yours stay in tune?
