They know they'll get away with it, so why wouldn't they

They've been cramming random stuff in that though that's making it more laggy. Recently switched to Zed and it's so much faster.

Self-hosting LLMs (self.selfhosted)

I'd like to self host a large language model, LLM.

I don't mind if I need a GPU and all that, at least it will be running on my own hardware, and probably even cheaper than the $20 everyone is charging per month.

What LLMs are you self hosting? And what are you using to do it?

And they've already ramped it up quite a bit. Been watching a show for couple of months, used to be one ad per episode, which I could handle, now it's like every 10 minutes. So I've already cancelled and found the show using other ways.

I use Teams and Jira, and I can't even imagine the amount of wasted time when I click anything in either of them and nothing happens for a good while, just waiting around.

So make the portions smaller, charge more, make more money for shareholders next year, until people catch on and downhill from there, just like Chipotle. But then this guy will simply take his payout and move on to the next.

So Iceland is not a thing to whoever made this? Though Iceland would probably need an animated blinking red colour for the price there.

For example the Formula 1 live threads during a race has like 10 comments on Lemmy, while on Reddit it's in the thousands. Just wish some communities were a bit more popular.

Even now you can buy a Porsche Taycan Turbo, an electric car, so there's no turbo in it.

Been using Perplexity AI quite a bit lately for random queries, like travel suggestions.

So I started wondering what random things people are using it for to help with daily tasks. Do you use it more than Google/etc?

Also if anyone is paying for Pro versions? Thinking if it's worth it paying for Perplexity AI Pro or not.
