I always try to drive in QHD at 144 fps. At 720p you don't have enough resolution to see all the bicycles on time.

I know some Linux users trash talk Nvidia on Linux like it just a piece of shit. But it's simply okay. Don't get me wrong it's not great. But it works.

But if you have a simple setup it will probably work. My SO PC has a rtx 2060 and one monitor and it works fine.

You can of course always dual boot. I still have windows for VR gaming and just in case. I do recommend a stable os with Nvidia (especially if you just starting out with Linux). Something like pop os. Don't go with arch just for the meme.

With dual booting you can try Linux and test if it's okay for you. If not just give the disk space back to windows. If not great keep using Linux.

Just ordered some boards a week ago for meshtastic. Maybe I can find some people in the wild.

Not op but also don't have a steamdeck, but my tv setup is also reported as steamdeck. I use Chimera OS on my PC connected to my living room tv.

It uses just some old parts left over a 4 gen i5 and a Rx 470.

When there was basically only Netflix I paid for it and almost completely stopped pirating. Now I have acces to Netflix, Disney, prime(Disney and prime by password sharing) and I again started pirating years ago.

I for sure pay €20 for one service with almost everything, no ads and decent quality. Then I again stop pirating

In my case I use a Emby server and not "free" streaming options because I can choice the quality, subtitles and on which device I want to watch. Or download it on my phone for offline watching.

All under my control without any ads.

If in the future it ever gets good support for gui's and is stable. For sure gone try Qlab.

It's simple the best show control software I tried yet. But for now I will be using Linux show player or borrow a MacBook.

Everytime I hear something about Plex I become a bit happier with my choice for Emby as media server.

At the time of building my then server I could choice between them(jellyfin wasn't a thing yet). Luckily I picked emby

I work at a school and I don't get up early much. Mostly start at 12. My class starts at 14:30. So weeks I work from 8:00 till 22:00 but that are just 6 or 7 in the year.

Most meetings with colleagues are also in the afternoon. We are not morning people.

Did you turn on steamplay/proton on in the settings? Including the toggle to use it for all titels?

Of course does not mean all games are playable, but they at least should so up in your library to try.

You can test a windows game and especially single player games most just work. If you have some problems you can check it on protondb.com. Maybe someone already found a simple solution.

They are economically left in there statements and manifest. But on economics and social issues they most of the time vote pretty right wing.

About 45 minutes with car. I mostly choice my own times so almost never drive in "busy"(busy traffic where I live at most add 5 minutes to your commute). As it never soul crushing traffic I don't really mind.

Some weeks I work 5 days on site from 8:00 till 22:00, but some days I work 2 days on site for 4 hours a day and one day at home. So a extra 1,5 hours a day if I work on site I don't really mind.

Only thing I would love to change is being able to go with public transport. Most days I can arrive on my work on time. (Even if i need to got up pretty early if I start at 8) But the problem is I can't get home if I don't leave before 17:30 from work. That's mostly not possible. (Or at least I don't know at the start of the day which time I'm done)

I don't really care Public transport is a 30 minutes longer commute, or that it is more expensive (my work pays the full ticket price anyway). The problem is I just can't get home after work.
