I would strongly disagree that any games or endorsement of patriarchy are necessary for success in cishet dating, I would fucking never. In fact, if I get any hint that a woman wants or cares about that shit that's great - tells me to stop wasting my time with them.

Before you quote this tweet it doesn't actually say most of that stuff, except that BDS is discriminatory. It does however continue the Iran nuclear weapons myth, bringing back old classics

Yeah it's great I use it all the time - my partner and I just watched Mulholland Drive on it last night. Only trick is to know how to find the good stuff, cause there's tons of garbage to sift through

Kanopy has a ton of great stuff and is free if you have a library card and your library participates

We should all drive our five ton metal boxes as fast as possible just in case the person behind us might be in a life or death situation, thereby maximizing the number of potential life or death situations thereby justifying the original decision

I just heard this for the first time on college radio this week. Shit is cool.

Didn't see that coming, definitely an added bonus.

:hudson-shining:

Surprise surprise the Western counties vote in unison against anything decent:

On Sanctions:

On promoting “a democratic and equitable international order”:

On respecting “human rights and cultural diversity”:

Promoting “equitable geographical distribution” in human rights treaty bodies:

Aaaaaand on mercenaries lol:

Somehow Aesop Rock is actually getting better. Like he put down his thesaurus and is now giving us songs about pigeon fetishism and underachievement.

Like we used to have embedded Youtube videos, etc.

Any chance we can go back to that format? Is that possible post federation? Being taken off site all the time kind of sucks, (especially if you're like me and you get logged out every time.)

I turned it off. Fuck Fincher man dude fell the fuck off.

I've been really digging The East is a Podcast for this. Definitely been the best pod to help me feel sane lately, their Tankie Group Therapy eps with the Electric Intifada peeps haven't necessarily been informative but just hearing a bunch of reasonable people talk about this stuff while everyone else in the imperial core is completely deranged has been helpful, and the ep from a few days ago with the International Coordinator of Samidoun was really interesting

The Citations Needed live shows have also been really great, having Adam's crystal clear focus on beating down lib talking points like a decorated Twitter veteran is cleansing to the soul.

RWN has been doing some Hamas deep dives but I haven't checked in since their first few breaking news eps.

I thought the Chapo ep with Mohammad Alsaafin was good, but I don't really listen to the show so I don't know if they've done much since then.

DAE the FBI are good guys actually?

Lily Gladstone was awesome but totally underused - she'll get a supporting actor nom at least.

Have we reached a stage where Jesse Plemons has surpassed Matt Damon?

Props to Scorcese for finally figuring out how to represent criminals without glorifying them after making movies for 50 years. Turns out they just had to live in the bad part of the country.

Some genuinely great or clever/creative shots every now and then

I didn't know about the Osage (not a USIAN), appreciated the history. I wish the west wasn't so white supremacist that the film could only be made if it's about white people anyways.

The casting of the two lawyers was distracting, but also welcome - I think everyone likes seeing those guys do their thing, if you're going to watch it don't spoil it for yourself it's quite a jarring moment in a good way.

Too long. I watch long movies. I'm the asshole who insists that the 2.5 hour cut of Carlos (2010) is incoherent trash and you really have to watch the 5.5 hour version for it to even make sense. This was too long.
