It's shit, right? I'm so sorry. I hope that stability comes to you very soon.

Reject tradition. You have no obligation to sacrifice your well-being because some old, out-of-touch fuckwads want something life-changing from you. Can't even afford groceries.

They can foster a child if they want one around so badly. Or go sit at a park. Or volunteer at the church nursery or something, ffs.

Young folks have been priced out of housing & healthcare, you can be fired from your job on a whim, food is astronomically expensive, the political climate is tense, your basic human rights could be rescinded at any time, the future of the planet is being murdered by shitty capitalists with 0 regard for human life....

I mean, who wouldn't want to bring a child into this world right now?

Eat shit.

My niece is 14/15, and she gave all her bank account details to some guy on Tiktok who said he wanted to send her 5000$.

There is an absolute failure in the teaching of online safety and critical thinking. The fault lies mostly on the parents, absolutely, but it needs to be taught in schools, like taxes (my kid is currently learning about how to file taxes in one of his classes).

I've taught my kid about all types of things and the "why" behind it: don't click links in email or messages, spotting ragebait content & not engaging with it, what is & isn't appropriate to talk about with a stranger online, the intentions behind the actions and words of a potential predator, etc.

Teach your kid to question things. Always give an answer to "why", ALWAYS!!!! Because if you don't give access to the logic behind things, they will simply start to accept everything at face value without any thinking. Worse yet, if they don't believe there's logic behind your decisions and words, they will disregard your advice and simply do whatever they want.

He'll definitely get into heaven since he has his passport.

Why don't people who have had their house burned to the ground in the wildfires just sell their homes and move? 🤪

Also a reminder that Bandai Namco patented mini-games on loading screens! Now no one else can do that.

When you patent general ideas, you rob people of an experience.

Might as well start patenting art styles at this point.

Are they sex-themed breweries? Wild.

My ma is 72 and is still hiking, kayaking, and living her best life. (:

She also wants to hike the entire Appalachian trail before she turns 80!

OH GOOD LAWD FINALLY THANK YOU CHEEZUS 🙏🙏🙏

It has been an absolute struggle trying to avoid spoilers.

Beautiful creature.

I am not a tech person, but I cleaned out my secondhand PC today, and it took hours with the sheer amount of dust accumulation. The fans were nearly overloaded with it!!

Does a clean PC run better / faster than one filled with dust? Or is it more a matter of keeping the fans running easily? Or something else..? Idk, maybe I imagined it, but it seemed to boot much faster after cleaning. Could be wishful thinking!

I'm in need of more images ~~to steal~~ to collect. Please post your favorites!

Make sure you put questionable/NSFW behind spoilers, please.

Also, where do your images come from? Mine came mostly from 4ch×n, D×scord, and R×ddit (which I no longer use).

Here's some of mine:

And only sometimes.

Before people start asking in the comments, the website is a niche fashion archive.

Every time I go outside to my yard, my elderly neighbor comes out and tries to talk with me. Every. Single. Time. Without fail. I go out to relax and do gardening and yard work, and his presence makes me increasingly anxious & leaves me feeling particularly uncomfortable/unsafe.

He is dealing with dementia, and has become increasingly vulgar and outspoken, and even made some vastly inappropriate remarks about his wife & my other neighbor while my child was right there.

His wife is tired. I know this. Christ, I would be, too. He was kind of insufferable even before the dementia got bad (think him talking about his shitty political views), but, god.. I am so tired of babysitting him while I try to unwind in my own yard. He'll talk over the fence or simply waltz past it and follow me around while I try to do stuff or as I'm trying to talk to my kid.

One thing I know is this: do not piss off your neighbors, because, chances are, you will probably be living next to them for a looooong time.

What can I do? I just want peace without feeling like I'm being accosted.

Always wondered what happened to them. So happy they're safe & sound!

Quick sketch of a text meme recently posted here: https://slrpnk.net/post/11620428

Let me recommend: Bill's Hot Dog Stand in Ypsilanti.

It's a drive-in. Open your window and eat in the parking lot. Get their dogs with everything on it + a mug of root beer. If you don't eat dogs, at least get the root beer!!! I don't even like root beer that much, but I now dream about the root beer from Bill's.

Absolute reasonable prices, too: got 4 dogs & 2 mugs of root beer for around 10$ total!

What's your recommendation for unexpectedly good food in Michigan?

The noise scared my lizard something frightful!

Everyone was okay and no one was badly injured. Except for a patch of my lilies. But they're pretty resilient.

Taken between June 5th - June 10th, 2024, Michigan.

Not a professional photo in any sense. Apologies for that. But I saw this grumpy-looking little guy/gal in a bush and took a photo from a distance away. Wanted to share it, even if it's not as good as any of the other photos posted here.

One of the babies I've been observing since the nest was built above my deck. It was fascinating to see them grow up & finally leave the nest! All 4 are finally gone.

I wish them the best in their growth and hope they are able thrive safely.

My cat passed away around 2 years ago now. I miss him a lot, but just haven't been financially stable enough to adopt another.

Could you post nice stories and funny things about your cat(s) and talk about how much you love them? Thank you!
