You're not wrong...

This is just more whataboutism.

It sounds like you don't understand nearly how many people go into the White House every day.

Typically, when you have no idea what you're talking about, it is more prudent to keep your thoughts to yourself until you do.

I think a better argument is that Russia is holding a few more cards here than we do. If we want to get petty, they have explosives planted in a nuclear reactor that they could just blow up.

If we want to go in and kick their asses, we risk global war.

There's a lot of reasons that this is bad, but there are a lot of really smart people working on these problems.

"What's the difference between us and them" not only is an emotional appeal, it dehumanizes them, which weirdly makes your argument the same as theirs.

Hey now - this isn't one of THOSE communities.

You're... Probably right. Glad you guys are on top of this.

It's kind of crazy to see someone who clearly loves their own voice, but clearly doesn't understand what the fuck they're talking about.

Back to the kiddie pool, Nazi.

Sadly, I understand your point, but feel that I need to remind you of Poe's Law. I think the /s is required because shit is all too real

I was broken hearted after the CU. Couldn't play anymore after that. It was such an awesome game.

Right. I'd be happy for the IPO to go south just for petty vengeance, but I'm not angry about Reddit. It's been good to me for years, until it wasn't.

I'm on lemmy now, and I'm happy here. Don't need Reddit to burn, my needs are fulfilled. They can do what they want, and the world keeps turning.

Lemmy feels more like Reddit used to. Still rough around the edges, but with less... pressure?

Fewer bots, no advertising, less uhh... I'm gonna call it gentrification.

It's like visiting that same shitty dive bar in your home town that will never die, when everything else has changed.

I much prefer this, but I can see why people would want something more polished.
