Lots of talk in this thread. I stood during the pandemic against anti-vaccs and no-masks and intend to again. I've heard a lot of excuses, mostly surrounding a need to work and pay bills and how they cannot jeopardize that.
I wonder if there will be excuses this time.

Nah, them ordering that stuff is fine, if it's up to standard. What should really light your fires is that they order these from places that grossly overcharge, and don't seem to give a fuck. $5000 for a pair of socks is a joke for a reason.

If those on the Left actually stopped verbally measuring one another's dicks and stood united, they would be a force that the Right could not reckon with. Having said that, and here's the irony, not everyone in the military is "gonna face bombs and killing". There are huge swaths whose job it is to do anything under the sun that doesn't involve firing any form of weaponry. Chances are you'd have had to been paying attention at some point in school to know this, or something.
War is shit. The military has good and bad people, and often shit practices. For some people it's one of the only ways, in the U.S. at least, to stand even a fleeting chance of doing more than becoming a low-rung manager at Walmart.
To be fair, the difference between a hook cane and sword cane is one can cause bruising up to a concussion, with a low chance of broken bones. While the other creates a sequel to Highlander. So your day might be ruined by one; the other makes sure there is only one.

Btw, the reason I asked is because we need to stop assuming everyone knows everything, especially about politics. Let's take the few seconds necessary to explain for those that don't know. The impact that will have is hard to measure, though it would likely be quite positive.
I think, if you're serious, you may wish to consider challenging what you believe in. You won't get a rise out of me, so don't bother. I just wish to push you to try.
