my dad grew up in Eastern Poland and says that a lot of food he ate as a kid was plant based simply because they were poor and meat, milk, eggs etc were expensive. He actually gave me the idea for this dish as an example, since the filling can be anything, really

Yeah, agreed. I know fuck all about guns but well-implemented iron sights can be a blast, it just feels nice. Same with recoil on a more punchy weapon, or good sounds for the guns. Sure you could strip these "unnecessary" features, and keep the mechanics of how the bullets fly the same, but it is cooler with them

Be careful with citric acid though, it's extremely potent. My partner accidentally dropped too much into a stew and we had to pretty much make the stew like 3x bigger to dilute the sour taste

Vegan theory club is also planning to defederate from world because of the concentration of hitler particles and a recent carnist raid on the discord

It is gluten-free but binds thanks to all the potato starch

you make the dough out of potatoes. I used 1.5kg of raw potatoes, finely grated them in a mixer, then pressed out all the water (there was a shitload of it). I added about 0.7kg of cooked (and mashed) potatoes, then a lot of potato starch, making it into a potato dough. The. just added filling, in this case chantarelles cooked with onions and spices.

If you save the water from the raw potatoes and let it set, you can use some starch that gathers in the bottom of the bowl, in which case you need less of powdered starch

holy shit you just reminded me of that completely ludicrous HL2 mod. It was called something like "cinematic mod" and the guy who made it upped the texture resolution (it looked pretty bad), fiddled with lighting (also in a bad way), remade some levels (aaand we're three in the hole for bad) then spent the rest of his effort replacing all female characters' models with ones that have huge boobs and skimpy outfits, it was hilarious.

And apparently some people dug into the files and the Alyx model even had a fully modeled cervix for whatever reason

review bombing your house with clay bricks through the window (it's okay, glass hasn't been invented yet)

I was never specifically told to be afraid of tetanus either, but that may be because all kids got mandatory tetanus vaccines where I grew up. I still have a faded scar on my arm - I think it was the three vaccines in one shot thing, nowadays it doesn't leave a scar afaik, but back then you got a star-shaped mark and a minor swelling for a few weeks. And when pushing around other kids, somebody would always go "not in the vaccine!" when they caught a stray, painful punch in that part of the arm.

I only renewed it in my mid-20s after stepping straight onto a long rusty nail. I also decided to get some other vaccines filled in back then, like TBE.

edit: I actually looked it up and the scar was from a tubercolosis vaccine, tetanus et al didn't leave any marks

This is not a dunk or a serious post either. I just figured I can post this cutie with minimal pushback bc he is just so beautiful. Meet Bun the rat.

Sadly he died almost a year ago, but he was extremely lovely and kind. Say something nice (or mice) about him, or share your (nice) rodent stories
