the guy exclusively lists cultural phenomena. how would not using a phone personaly solve any of these?

"It's just a tool" is such an ignorant statement in general. The tools we use have been shaping or culture for thousands of years. There is no choice not to take part in the current state of humanity. "It's just a tool" is what people who want to sell you their technology tell you to make you forget about the effects it can have on a bigger scale.

Is this going to be a model for the history of mankind?

I think there is definitely a line from early modern natural state theory to today's justification of capitalism, although the argument has somehow reversed itself.

Actual natural behaviour is not even important, since we abandoned that some time ago, and it probably isn't desirable to go back. Its just easier to sell an ideology when you disguise it as natural order.

Capitalism wants us to believe that it's the only stable solution, because it comes close to the natural order, and that in nature there is only selfish behaviour, eat or get eaten, homo homini lupus and so on. The truth is, this supposed natural state is completely made up and animals and human beings naturally behave much more selflessly than what is expected from us under capitalism.

people can't even disagree, because it is entirely unclear what you are talking about.

oh I mixed up the points, I meant to say CB is 0 in the end

funny Interpretation: in the complex plane, the imaginary axis is orthogonal to the real axis. so instead of the edge marked with i (AC), imagine an edge of length 1 orthogonal to that edge. It would be identical to AB, so ~~AC~~ CB is 0.

I noticed I could not see most posts on communities like [email protected] when I'm logged in. My suspicion is that that's because these posts have their Language set to German and in my profile, I have only English and Undetermined, but there are no other Languages to select. I tested this on some communities on sopuli.xyz in Finnish, and again I can see posts if I'm logged out, but as soon as I log in, the communities are empty.

Does anyone else have this problem?
