You can supplement your reading with podcasts. Rev Left Radio has a lot of episodes where they talk about leftist figures, books and historical events. I also recommend the Antifada, they have a great class/materialist analysis of current events theory-gary

I need to have emojis of my Midwest alcoholic uncles who hate movies.

I agree completely about journaling, I've been journaling daily for years. I would say it's the most important habit that I ever developed. I also agree that it's essential for dudes because we are trained to suffer stoically and never talk about our problems, especially concerning emotional and mental health.

If you're into podcasts, check out Overdue, it's a great podcast about books. The hosts are very nice and have good politics.

You haven't failed at life, this life has failed you. Remember that we live on a prison planet. Human life is worthless here and your only purpose is to generate profit for capitalists. It's impossible to fail at life if your life was determined to be miserable from the moment you were born in a capitalist dystopia.

The only way out of this hellscape is a communist revolution. But while we're waiting for that to happen (and doing whatever we can to bring it closer), you can take care of yourself and people around you. You can also join the based department unity

Yesterday I started playing Songs of Conquest, it came out of early access this year. It's a spiritual successor to Heroes of Might and Magic III. I've played for around 3 hours and so far I'm enjoying it. As a fan of HOMM3, it hasn't disappointed me. The tactics gameplay is fun and engaging.

Before that, I started playing the Multiverse mod for FTL - Faster Than Light. The writing is not great but overall I like it since it adds a lot of new content. I like that one of the bad guys factions is explicitly fascist so I can bash the space fash. fash-bash

Sounds like you're making steady progress in spite of the circumstances and that's the most important thing solidarity

I've started eating a fruit salad every day, highly recommended. I'm currently on vacation bloomer so my plan for the next week is to play videogames and cuddle my pets. The sigma grindset will continue two weeks from now. Until then I just want to relax squidward-chill

Hello comrades and welcome to the third improvement megathread of August! bonfire

As usual, some discussion ideas:

  • Do you want to share something you've done in the previous week? Everything counts, nothing is too small.
  • Do you have any plans or goals for the following week?
  • Do you have any streaks? For example, "sober for one day." Feel free to post your streak every day in this thread.
  • If you don't have a continuous streak, did you manage to abstain from something for a day or more?
  • Did you come across some useful information or resource that might help others?

Good luck with your goals! unity

It seems that they nailed the look and atmosphere. I'm a fan of this series and really hoping that they will stick the landing on this sequel
