Can you recommend any of the existing Matrix clients?
Xubuntu comes with Ubuntu's proprietary snap system. I don't trust snap and users report about bad performance and disc space usage.
As an alternative there is Linux Mint 22 XFCE Edition, which is based on the Ubuntu 24.04. sources:

Unfortunately osm.org does not support custom POI lists.
The german OSM community is hosting a Umap service, where you could create a custom POI map. (https://umap.openstreetmap.de/en/)
The map can then be shared and the POIs can be downloaded as gpx, kml or similar file. This file can then be imported into any Map Apps.
For the photos.. If you get the permission to put these under a Creative Commons License, then you can upload them to Wikimedia. Then put the link into the description of the POIs in the Umap
Unfortunately most of the species tagged trees are mass imported and not mapped by a real mapper.
I try often to map species or genus but there is no good mobile app for this task yet.

You can easily help achivieving this goal by reworking natural=tree_row and adding single natural=tree into natural=wood areas :) I know, some say this is discouraged, but we really need to map EVERY TREE!

Sometimes I even think about adding a Google Maps Link to POIs, because of Reviews. The reviews helping a lot to know what to expect from a POI before visiting them.
Thankfully there is no established tag yet.

Die in Deutschland meistgekaufte App Blitzer.de Pro aus dem Play Store nutzt nun eine OpenStreetMap basierte Karte und hat eine Navigationsfunktion eingeführt bei der vor Staus und Gefahrensituationen gewarnt wird.
Ein großer Durchbruch für OpenStreetMap. Mit diesem Update können 1 Mio Nutzer die Navigationsalternative nutzen. Die Kartendaten von OpenStreetMap sind an einigen Stellen in Deutschland deutlich detailreicher als die kommerziellen Kartenanbieter. Fehler können zudem sehr einfach auf www.osm.org anonym gemeldet werden oder mit einem Account selbst korrigiert werden.
Blitzer.de Pro App is the bestseller App in German Play Store. The Update now features OpenStreetMap Slippy Map to show crowdsourced speed cameras, constructions, road closures and traffic jams. The App even has an OpenStreetMap based Navigation System.
1 Million people in Germany can now see and use OpenStreetMap Data in their App. This is a huge success and a breakthrough for OpenStreetMap adaption.
Unfortunately the app does not mention the Copyright yet. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
