FFS that's not what Tim Walz did, at all. He signed (as opposed to vetoing) a bipartisan bill to provide free menstrual products to students, after a years-long campaign by students who had to pay for these at school.

The law doesn't say anything about boys bathrooms or genders. At most it can be argued that by not specifying that only girls bathrooms are included, it avoids singling out female-to-male and intersex students who use boys bathrooms for persecution. Which is of course controversial to Republicans.

You know what will fix the world? Debating semantics.

Yeah I have doubts Iran would release to Politico and Washington Post first

Yeah the reality is if the courts start letting the government arrest people for speech, it's those going on about "woke mind viruses" who are gonna be the first to weaponize that. Without free speech, the left ceases to exist.

As much as this behavior is appalling, blaming it on one individual is absurd. Social networks provide incentives to lie and stir people up, it can even be profitable. As long as that's the reality, there will be lies that cause riots.

Oh wow that's not even the US. 340 years, that's cute.

Elon Musk is estimated by Forbes at $227 billion (and there's many more like Bezos and Zuck with only slightly less money). His annual pay is complicated, but if we divide that up by year since he entered the workforce in about 1995, it comes out to $7.8 billion/year.

The average salary in the US is about $64,000. So to make what Elon (roughly) makes in a year, the average American worker would need to work about 122,000 years. By this time the constellations we currently observe in the night sky will be unrecognizable.

How was this allowed to go forward without getting caught? Oh yeah, they fired all those "useless employees" who just sat around testing things all day.

It's kinda vague though. It could also mean "Out of many, there can be only one." Thereby establishing a Highlander-like contest among nations to be the last one standing.

You're confusing logic for apathy. At best, spray painting buildings half a world away from the problem just adds minor suffering to major suffering. At worst, it associates the cause these activists are claiming to support with criminality and basically shitting on people's communities, doing little more than providing an empty feeling of "I did something" for the activists while actually making the problem worse. It seems to me the apathetic ones are those who think major suffering on some people justifies inflicting minor suffering on everyone else.
