I am also certain these apps have hidden systems designed to work against most people. It's not the first time I give a dating app a try. In my past attempts, I always got a few matches in the first few days, then nothing. I believe the app matched me with people that liked everyone (or at least did so at that time) in order to give an initial 'high' that I would attempt to chase by paying.

Installed a dating app and got no matches, I know this is a somewhat frequent experience for men but it still feels bad

It could be that he took HGH and then didn't train, so he didn't get muscular but still suffered the palumboism side effect. It would be a stupid thing to do, but then again it fits with the persona he's displaying

so you came up with your own term to cover your mistake?

That's not how the square root is defined.

You're confusing "square root of 100" with "the answer to x^2 = 100". These are different things.

This may be a trivial question, but did you just ask friends to take a picture of you while you were hanging out? I don't upload pics to social media so I'm kinda embarrassed to do that, but I suppose there's no other way?

As for pics of doing stuff, I wish I did "photogenic" stuff :/ Closest I can think of is a pic of me reading a book, is that pretentious?

You should not rinse chicken (or meat) in the sink, it's a) useless if you cook them properly (as in, not eat them raw), because that will kill the bacteria and b) potentially harmful because you'll splash around the bacteria on your sink/utensils etc where they will remain dangerous since they won't be cooked.

idk what the original commenter meant, maybe he missed a negation and wanted to say that white people rinse their meats when they dont have to? because that makes more sense to me

you're asking a third party to confirm the equivalent of 'water is wet'

I'd like something that goes over the American interference in the region, debunks myths about the Shah's government (for example, I've seen people here mention that only the wealthy dressed like westerners) and explains how the Iranian revolution happened.

Is Targeting Iran any good? I know Chomsky has some shit takes but he usually does a good job dismantling US narrative & propaganda

If someone doesn't know what I'm referring to, 996 refers to working 9am-9pm 6 days a week, which some Chinese companies enforce (or enforced) on their employee. Jack Ma, for example, has spoken in support of it.

Wikipedia says that the Supreme People's Court deemed it illegal in 2021. I don't know about China's court system in detail (or any country's, really) but my understanding is that cases go to a higher court if someone successfully appeals the decision of a lower court. Shouldn't something like a 72 hour workweek be stricken down before reaching the supreme court?

I've heard that Huawei still enforces this, for example. I don't have sources because I've heard it from someone with Chinese acquaintances, so some fact-checking is appreciated.

Do you play any games on your smartphone? I'm looking for single player ones to kill some time when waiting for the bus. Ideally they should work without an internet connection, so I can disable network access for that app and play without ads.

I'm currently playing Words of Wonder, but it gets repetitive after a while.

In The State and Revolution, Lenin (and Engels, whom he is quoting) disagrees with communists using "People's State" or "Free People's State" as a programme goal.

If I understand correctly, this is because a) it creates a misunderstanding on the final phase of communism, which is stateless and b) it goes against the Marxist understanding of states as forces of oppression. On the other hand, it seems logical to me that a state following the dictatorship of the proletariat principle would call itself "People's", since the proletariat is the majority.

So, I've been wondering if the existing socialist states have an official line about this, or if there's a consensus amongst M-Ls.
