Yeah, I think it has to be that. Just sucks that people who cared so much get overwhelmed to the point of giving up.

The wildest to me is how far some people have swung back.
The person who, back in 2021/22, would walk out of their way in the hallway to keep 6 feet of distance between us, who has two kids at home both younger than 3, doesn't take any precautions anymore. Or the guy who wore aura respirators before anyone else and did everything on zoom until 2023, I never see wearing a mask anymore. Or people I organize with who actively refuse to wear a mask, even at actions. It's just so strange.

Man, I've definitely noticed I'm a lot more tired these days. As far as I know I've only had it once, so who knows, but it definitely makes me wonder.

Not a clue where you’re located, so maybe this isn’t relevant to your situation, but when I worked at Target they explicitly told us they’d let shoplifters steal many times, until they had evidence you’d stolen enough to get a felony charge. Then they’d call the cops to ambush you outside the store.
And stores would communicate about specific shoplifters who went on sprees at a bunch of different stores in an area.
I imagine other retailers have roughly similar policies. So, all that to say, keep the monetary value low, shoplift at stores not close to where you live, don’t hit a place too many times, and mix up the places you shoplift from.

It's so funny that in a non-election year you can maybe get (a shrinking minority of) liberals to recognize the anti-democratic nature of gerrymandering and the electoral college, but every four years they'll use examples of that anti-democracy to berate you for choosing to vote for a third party.
The state I live in has gone for the Republican in 9 out of the last 12 elections, and the margin has gotten bigger every year since 2000. The bubble I circle on the top of the ballot is literally irrelevant to the outcome of the election, and that's ON PURPOSE. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but agony-limitless

I think this other one works well here too. A little more explicitly focused on the hysterical narratives chuds indulge themselves in
