It's like how liberals will constantly use homosexuality as the punchline for jokes
If you point out that the thing they're using as an insult (body weight/type, sexuality, criminal record) is not something they should use as an insult, they'll get absolutely offended and assure you they're not actually homophobic or whatnot, they just say it because it annoys the target of their insults - which is usually some high ranking politician who will never be in the same postal code as these ghouls, let alone hear the insult
We got one of those idiots in here that tried to 'well, ACKSHUALLY' argue that the very homophobic 'joke' they made was actually supportive of trans people
