  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Hey Georgia! You're seceding and you say "states' rights" are the issue. What does "states rights" mean? Which "rights" are you fussing about?

For the last ten years we have had numerous and serious causes of complaint against our non-slave-holding confederate States with reference to the subject of African slavery.

Hey Mississippi, what is the Confederate cause about?

Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery — the greatest material interest of the world.

Hey Texas, you joined the Union recently; what were you looking for?

[Texas] was received as a commonwealth holding, maintaining and protecting the institution known as negro slavery — the servitude of the African to the white race within her limits — a relation that had existed from the first settlement of her wilderness by the white race, and which her people intended should exist in all future time.

Okay, we get it. You're really into the slavery thing. Surely none of your descendants will deny that, right?

Let’s give Texas back to Mexico. Please.

Holy fuck Texas. It sounds like you’re claiming the people you enslave want to be enslaved forever and ever. I can’t even write the words without feeling dirty. Not even mississippi goes that far.
