I must admit I prefer 90s amoral murderer Lara Croft over whatever was going on in those reboot games. Something about living up to her dad's legacy or something?

Games have to be dour and miserable to be taken seriously
Ethan Winters' extremities are gambo'd to hell and back in RE7 and 8 but it's played for comedy
