And then: Walz with a mealy-mouthed closing; Vance with a strong, sharp message that you deserve a house and a square meal, and reminding you that Kamala hasn't given that to you. And those baby blue eyes. It's too bad he's evil.
Yeah I'll be honest he's doing better than I was expecting. He's managing to not let himself get pinned down defending stupid things Trump, and even he himself has previously said, and has been fairly charismatic and articulate. Walz sounds incoherent at times, and keeps bringing up terminally-political-brained stuff without giving sufficient elaboration/context, so most normal people won't even understand what he's referring to. Vance is a piece of shit for sure, but he's surprisingly good at making Trump and himself sound palatable, if you didn't know better.
Exactly. He's really deft at framing, esp. in giving the viewers a permission structure to support Trump, and giving assuring, flip responses while avoid being pinned on satanic GOP positions, which is leaving Walz blathering, trying to clarify.
Harris and Walz need to stop bringing up Project 2025 in debates. All they have to do is say "no I don't support that, here's what I actually support". Immediate, easy deflect into a stump speech.
Agreed. Project 2025 has always just seemed like bait to me, which the liberal media and democrats have swallowed whole. Not in the sense that it's fake or that everything in it isn't something the GOP actually wishes it could do, but that it has gotten political brain poisoned liberals to freak out constantly about some spooky opaque 1000 page document that no sane person is ever actually going to read, instead of addressing the issues average people actually care about. It just makes them sound weird and annoying.
He's got the energy of a debate kid and the education of an Ivy League shithead. He struggles to appear like a normal person, not like a smarty pants fast talker.
