I am just thoroughly anti-tech progression because thereβs never any forethought for the potential consequences, whether that be increased atomization or displacing workers

I like crops that are resistant to pests and drought though.
Wouldn't the expectation be that generations of workers are getting better educated and over qualified for factory jobs? I don't think this is a problem for Chinese workers in the same way it would be for America if they still had factories
If it's any consolation, it's likely going to be fucking up at least 3+ times a week for the first year or so, and then still be a temperamental PoS afterwards. And even then I'd still rather work on the robot lines rather than the hand loaded lines.
At least that was my experience with robot machining lines in the factory I worked at for 5 years.
