Isn't Sekiro also basically just a beat em up?
first of all how dare you
Soulslikes are just beat em ups with lots of QTEs and deliberately poor accessibility options
I would totally make a soulslike with full accessibility options including slowdowns and prompts and auto parries; and I'd still give you the achievements to upset the silly internet people
Based. But that removes the main appeal for soulslike players: the gates which they like to keep.
? :/
Quick time event
I know what the acronym is, I'm asking how in the goddamn do you figure it has them?
Parrys and iframe dodges are just QTEs
lol
Having to aim at an enemy in an FPS is just a QTE.
i agree, Sekiro is clearly a Platformer
No. Sekiro is wildly different from beatemups. The only shared element is that there are enemies that you attack, basically, and if that's enough to call Sekiro a 'beatemup', then, for example, every shooter is a beatemup, as well.
no shooters are all doom clones
Except the ones that are wolfenstein clones (the woke ones)
We're not Nazis but also how dare a WW2 game make Nazis the villains
Naw there's I don't think you can beat the game if you can't parry
Sounds like a beat em up to me
I haven't done a lot of parrying beat em ups, Souls like yeah. Just from watching people play it just seems easy. You seem to mow through enemies.
Parrying is just a glorified QTE and beat em ups have had those for a long time.
Like streets of rage long time?
At least God of War 1 long time
Right on thanks for explaining it to me. I might just be explaining it wrong just the combat just looks easy I guess.
Difficulty is not a genre
I don't think I said that.
