I’m starting to grow tired of all his winning…
As long as he isn't in prison, he's actually winning. We need him locked up.
The schadenfreude of the president who helped spread "lock her up" being the locked up... oh I look forward to that day!
Um... we get to read about him throwing hamburgers against the walls when they explain that the president cannot pardon state charges.
Realistically, doesn't that just mean the vice president is acting president as long as the president is in jail? Does a vote for a president in prison ultimately go toward whoever is their running mate? Could Trump ultimately just choose one of his kids and let them run the country while he's in prison, like a Mafia family?
These are questions I hope we don't answer.
shit
that's a good point
Good questions. The VP would be president if the elected president can't do the job for any reason (death, incapacitaiton, etc.). If Trump chooses a kid as his running mate, and wins, then yes. Trump would never cede power to anyone though. He'd try to run the country from prison, and in his role as commander-in-chief, would be constantly ordering the military to break him out.
Which family member would you trust, if you were Trump?
Then someone files a motion to throw out the pardon because the idea of a self-pardon is absolutely ridiculous.
POTUS can only pardon federal crimes, not state
That's why the Georgia charges are so important. He can't pardon himself for state crimes.
most of the charges against drumpf are state charges thankfully, which he can't pardon himself for. Thank fuck.
Thinking you might have meant "whining".
