Israeli sadism created the conditions for this. The only point in highlighting what is immoral or unfair about the response is legitimating the status quo of violence that Israel perpetuates. It's police logic, it's like the United States repressing and marginalizing its internal colonized and formerly enslaved populations, and then when those populations lash out and act erratically or criminally from the conditions they've been subjected to, the United States says "see, this is why we must ruthlessly police them". The responsibility for fixing the damage done is taken off the table, the onus is placed on them for making themselves better under continued conditions of criminalization, policing, de-legitimizing their grievances. The colonial apartheid state of Israel needs to take responsibility for the psychosis is has subjected the Palestinian population to instead of treating it like some hopelessly sinful, feral pest nesting in its basement.
