I don't think it's quite right to turn on a solo dev just because he didn't respond quickly enough to transphobic abuse. It's not like he has a PR department. I do hope he responds, though.
Yeah CA seems pretty chill. I mean Harvest Moon didn't have gay marriages for years, maybe even after SV came out (I can't remember exactly). And you can change your gender ingame too. And you can date multiple people. And have a platonic monster relationship. And everyone is Bi. So I'd be a bit surprised if CA didn't dislike this doxxing or was anti-trans.
Plus the issue of gamers being gamers have been happening a long time ago. Back when modding for SV was still getting up and running, there were mods that turned non white characters white or lesbian/gay characters straight lol. Now the latter one, there are a bunch of horny mods so I could’ve just brushed it off as whatever if it weren’t also paired/recommended with the race swap mods.
Strike me down if turning non white characters white and gay people straight isn't funny. It obviously comes from the mind of the fragile-est, childish-est demon gamer, but it feels like that picture where the guy goes

I don’t think it’s funny. I just see them as extensions of those horny fan fictions where people are making straight characters have sex with each other or non straight characters having sex with straight people. I suppose the difference is that most fascists aren’t putting effort into writing and they’re drawn to code more because it’s “intelligence”, and it’s relatively more acceptable compared to yaoi
That's a fair point too. I meant funny like gross out humor. Like it's so ignorant it makes me laugh. But absolutely valid

The petition is from September of last year, but idk when the doxxing and such really started or anything. Seems like it's probably been an issue for more than just a couple of days, though
