badposting is a comm where you post badly

This is not a [email protected] alternative. This is not a [email protected] alternative. This is a place for you to post your bad posts.

Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.
  3. This rule intentionally left blank.
  4. If you're struck for rule 3, skill issue, not allowed to complain about it.

Code of Conduct applies just as much here as it does everywhere else. Technically, CoC violations are bad posts. On the other hand: L + ratio + get ~~better~~ worse material bozo

I found a small leak under my dishwasher that's been going for like 2 years so I feel your pain about wanting to put off a nightmare chore

My buddy tried to get me to move in with him once but there was a roommate who was extremely territorial about getting to use the broken dishwasher as a drying rack. It had stagnant water in the bottom I swear to god. I was afraid to look again

Nothing I hate more than finding water where it's not supposed to be

If you know where it's coming from it would probably be relatively easy to find a parts manual online and order a new valve or hose.

It was the hose for the inlet valve, it needed a new gasket

That's the easy part it's the water damage I dread. Letting it dry out and hoping for the best

That's okay it'll eventually do itself

[–] [email protected] 6 points 7 months ago

you should just do it. You'll feel better when it's done.

it's easier with smaller goals instead of framing at as you have to clean your whole kitchen, break it down "today i'll pick-up 3 things", or "ill just do a quarter of the dishes" etc

Terrible news y'all :/

Listen bucko, until you can clean your own kitchen you have no room telling anyone else how to live their life. Get your shit together or the chaos dragon is gonna eat you. up-yours-woke-moralists

rookie numbers

Some days when I avoid chores it ends up making them bigger and scarier in my mind until I end up avoiding them entirely thinking it's a "lost cause", because I'll "never" finish doing all the dishes, "never" be able to untangle my messed up hair, etc.

I found that just doing part of the task boosts my confidence. Like I dedicate 5 minutes to put dishes away - I set a timer. The whole thing might seem impossible, but 5 minutes is possible. So I set the timer and I start doing the task. And five minutes later I feel more confident, relieved, and I no longer hate myself for my inaction.

The hardest part is getting started. I find that setting a limit on getting started, like "5 minutes", makes it way easier.

Best of luck comrade.
