A long endorsement of open source software before announcing he will be making Godot tutorials now.

Might be a good incentive to switch or try out game dev if you're new btw.

I really hope that the whole Unity debacle has moved more developers to open source solutions like Godot.

damn. wish he woulda switched to unreal.

edit: not shitting on godot. its just that i switched to unreal a while back and his help would have been nice. glad he came back and not to unity though.

I had to use godot for a college class and hated it, that was 4 years ago, hope it's less "why would it work like this?" now

The Slay the Spire devs switched from Unity to Godot, that is how good it is. Its not perfect obviously but its come a very long way and its pretty much a "real"(i.e with actual released games) engine now.
