$1200

Yeah, I'm gonna demand some record of how much each of the other people are paying in rent/payments. "Financially stable" is really sus here.

"Financially stable" is really sus here.

You've misread the ad. They aren't financially stable—you need to be financially stable. They're looking for a sugar daddy who will also have to pay child support. A 4br 3ba in Kenton typically rents in the high $2000's to low $3000's.

That's...what I'm saying. Anyone who did this without a legal agreement absolving themself of responsibility is in for trouble. Well, they probably are anyways.

We're on the same page then. High five!

That's the part that's making you raise an eyebrow?

[–] [email protected] 37 points 2 months ago

Lol no, I'm ignoring all of the obvious whackery going on. They are (a little too) forthcoming about all of that, which makes the financial part of this all the more suspect.

Maybe I’m telling on myself, but a 4 bedroom house split 4 ways in todays market, that sounds right.

I agree that the price isn't wild or anything. But I am always highly skeptical about being the last person to move into a place. It's easy for everyone else to decide they deserve to each pay less and make you pay more. And if someone is making payments on the home, it gets a bit more complicated. And with the way it's worded and the...service...they're requesting...

Housing prices in Portland are about half that, and the high rent is part of the joke.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 2 months ago

[–] [email protected] 17 points 2 months ago

lower the price and remove everything after "We are a polyamorous nonbinary neurodivergent thruple", then it would be reasonable.

The magic of childbirth in a 4 bedroom home? Like they're not gonna go to a hospital?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 months ago (1 children)

not as weird as it sounds, home births with a doula are fine

[–] [email protected] 6 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

you right, seems like the perinatal death rate is about the same or even lower

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 months ago
