As they have, time and time again, with say- the true reasons for the war (NATO expansion, with many figures like Jan Stoltenberg blatantly contradicting themselves over and over), the bad-faith approach to the Minsk accords by the west, the issues of Nazism across Ukraine and within its government and army, etc...
The western elites and all those who buy into their drivel are living in a post-reality, post-truth, post-logic and reason world. Whatever is inconvenient doesn't exist, until it does, and then only briefly when advantageous, until it becomes inconvenient again.
