Getting 10 fps in act 3 trump-kaneki . It ran fine in the first two acts. I'm legit going insane because I've been playing it straight for a week now and suddenly can't play it.

Have you tried adding “—skip-launcher” to steam game properties and disabling dynamic crowds in-game settings? People report it making act3 playable in many cases.

Turning off dynamic crowds kind of worked for now. The FPS is playable at least.

if you got it through steam try turning off the steam overlay for that game

Might have to go toaster mode in the settings, Act 3 is pretty beefy

You could always try the "We have Baldur's Gate 3 at home" option, Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansions!

I'll just replay WOTR with another mythic path

I’m on my first WOTR play through, went Bard Azata, so much depth!

There are downscaling apps you could try

I still need to get back and try the DLC for WotR.

As long as they don’t have bandwidth caps to worry about this is probably the best option.

Could you swing the money for a small SSD? It apparently cuts down on the RAM usage and might make it stutter less. Worse case you can always return the SSD if it doesn't make a noticeable improvement.

Dang, so you can't use GeForce Now or some similar service to finish the game?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Tried Geforce now. Has texture bugs in Baldur's Gate.

Dang, that's rough. I don't know what other options there are shrug-outta-hecks

What model? I'm considering picking this up

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

M1 Pro. Don't buy a MacBook tho, no scope of upgrading it yourself or getting it repaired by third parties.

Sounds like I'll pass on BG3 then, cheers

Honestly the most impressive part of your post is that you got to act 3 in only 50 hours.
