It gets weirder because shorlty after the earthquake Pras decided to do to side with two empres? Which ones, well the US and China of course. He was convicted on ten counts including a failed conspiracy to funnel money from the Malaysian businessman Jho Low and the government of China to Obama in 2012 and Donald Trump in 2016. He was convicted on 10 counts including conspiracy, fraud, witness tampering and acting as an unregistered foreign agent of China.

It's kinda wild really. WTF. There was a Fugees reunion concert while Pras was fighting his legal battle. I wonder what Lauryn Hill thought of her bandmates political activities, and if Wyclef and Pras got along. Now that the empire had fucked both of them.

Wyclef famously sang: If I was President, I'd get elected on Friday, Assasinated on Saturday, Burried on Sunday, They go back to work on Monday

I wonder what he's up to now.

Wyclef embezzled a bunch of money people gave to his charity. Not really anyone I'd hitch my horse to.

His defence of himself is particularly odious.

Bragging about having a half-million dollar watch collection doesn't paint him in the sympathetic light he thinks it does. It makes him seem financially irresponsible at best and at worst it makes him seem greedy and indifferent to the plight of Haitians who he ostensibly cares about deeply; that watch collection could have bought a lot of homes for Haitians who are in desperate need.

Yeah that's unfortunate as I've checked into it. He opposed the installed president but also opposed Aristide. I spent too much time checking into that

Edit: I'm deciding to leave this up as there's some good info. It looks like he opposed empire but wanted to personally profit. The Haitian earthquake brought out all sorts of shadiness
