Hopefully they bring this mobster down before he manages to wreck democracy in the US.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (2 children)

he already did that, probably at least 1/3rd of the country got fully brainwashed by him lying to them constantly with his insane conspiracy BS, and the only way out of cults as we all know is the all the followers to finally drink the koolaide, which is still coming

I stopped talking to 5 people because they’re so blinded by him. It’s gross.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I wish the number of folks I had to distance myself from was only 5. :( It should be ZERO!! Lol what a wakeup call 2016 was. :/

Which, for those who aren't aware, is quite a bit higher than the percentage of Germans who supported the NAZIs before WWII. Don't assume that just because they aren't a majority that we aren't still in extreme danger.

Oh, democracy is already wrecked, but yeah don't let him makenit worse!

Reminder that Steve Bannon frankly confessed Trump's Start the Steal conspiracy plans to a group of Trump insiders before the election.

https://www.npr.org/2022/07/22/1112138665/jan-6-committee-hearing-transcript

…audio from Trump advisor, Steve Bannon, surfaced from October 31st, 2020, just a few days before the Presidential election.

Let’s listen. [Begin Videotape]

STEVE BANNON: And what Trump’s going to do is declare victory, right? He’s going to declare victory, but that doesn’t mean he’s a winner. He’s just gonna say he’s a winner. The Democrats — more of our people vote early that count. Theirs vote in mail. And so they’re going to have a natural disadvantage and Trump’s going to take advantage — that’s our strategy.

He’s gonna declare himself a winner. So when you wake up Wednesday morning, it’s going to be a firestorm. Also — also if Trump is — if Trump is losing by 10 or 11:00 at night, it’s going to be even crazier. Because he’s gonna sit right there and say they stole it. If Biden’s wining, Trump is going to do some crazy shit.

I believe Roger Stone did this too!

In the video clip dated November 1, Stone can be seen speaking to two men at an unspecified location, saying he hoped they would be "celebrating" after the votes were in.

"I really do suspect it'll still be up in the air. But when that happens the key thing to do is to claim victory," Stone said. "Possession is nine-tenths of the law — no, we won, fuck you. Sorry, over, we won, you're wrong, fuck you."

Kind of a weird statement right? If you're ready, proceed. If you're not ready yet, don't say anything.

Willis’ latest commitment to that time frame comes after a judge scheduled an August 10 hearing on the Trump team’s efforts to disqualify Willis, a Democrat, from the case, toss much of the evidence she has collected and remove another judge in Fulton County from presiding over the case.

Its because timing is contingent on the court process.

Things are heating up. The collapse of the GOP is about to occur. 2024 is shaping up to be the largest Democratic Party win since FDR.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

I'll believe it when I see it. They said the same thing about 2016, and then we got this for four years. Said the Dems had it in the bag. Said there was no chance he'd win.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The collapse of the GOP is about to occur.

I sure hope you're right, and by that I mean I hope they have to restructure so as to shed the crazy alt-right section of the party back into the fringes.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I hate to be the one to tell you, but at this point the hard right is the party.

Let it die, then the conservative wing of the Democratic Party will split off to give us an actual conservative party again.

This is the interesting thing to me in the US. Despite what politicians say, Democrat does not equal left. Democrat equals center for the most part now, while Republican is just reaaaallly far right now.

Republicans gave up on being the pro-business, pro-capitalism party when they decided that loyalty to Dear Leaders is more important than economic prosperity.

Responsible business leaders don't want someone like DeSantis in power — someone who decides to attack successful businesses for extremely mild political dissent, undermines the economy to score anti-immigrant hate points with his base, wrecks educational institutions that train young workers, and so on. That shit is not how to keep capitalism working.

The Republican ideal of a successful business is a theft or fraud enterprise led by a politically-reliable mini-tyrant.

From your mouth to god's ears

There are still a lot of variables but historically the same outcome has occurred time and time again.

To all the astronomers out there. If you happen to notice a shift in earth’s orbit around the sun please do not be alarmed. It’s only me and my massive justice boner on the Western hemisphere. It should go away in a few hours.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Its alright, I'm sure the atomic clocks in orbit will notice.

I'd love to understand why "ready to go" means "waiting an entire month."

Get in line.

Trump's court dance card is getting pretty dang full this summer/fall.
