Ok yeah we get it Biden is an old guy. I fucking forgot the word refrigerator one and called it the big box with the cold food.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I regularly forget things like that. I'm 43 (soon) and I regularly can't pull out words like that or the name of a band that I know their entire discography.

I'm getting tired of this astroturfing. I'd take a drooling Biden who barely knows where he is over anything the right has offered in my life time. Yes, that means I'd take Biden as a drooling idiot over the bushes despite me wishing Jr would come back and run against Trump.

I'm 46. Last year, I was filling out a form and it asked my age. I had to ask my wife. She had to think about it. We're the same age.

I have quite literally spaced on my own name before.

I'm not even 30.

And don't get me started on the words my stutter mixes up.

The other day I meant to say 'metal' instead of 'stone', and I stammered out... 'wood'.

Disconnect between tongue and mind is an awful inconvenience to suffer through.

[–] [email protected] -4 points 7 months ago

That sucks. Are you also in charge of a nation?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 7 months ago

I don't know how this is even an issue. The two main candidates are basically the same fucking age.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 7 months ago (1 children)

What, are we listening to Clinton now?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 7 months ago (1 children)

I guess she knows a few things about losing to Trump? 🤷🏻‍♀️

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Sure, but by that metric, Biden knows a few things about Trump losing to him.

As usual, Clinton is blind to even the clearest of optics.

JFC retire already.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 7 months ago

She should try saying something else.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Good grief you guys really need to learn it's ok to be critical of Biden. If you aren't, that's a problem.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Sure, it's okay to be critical of Biden. It's also okay to say certain criticisms are ridiculous when looked at in the bigger picture, i.e. the only other likely option of getting elected being three years younger than him and sounding far, far more demented.

I'm guessing you missed yesterday where Trump said that if he loses they would rename Pennsylvania and if he wins, he would get Russia to attack our allies.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

It isn't ridiculous. I don't like the idea of an octogenarian making decisions for me. There isn't a single 80 year old human being that's isn't in decline both mentally and physically. I've been concerned about his mental faculties before the news hammering in on it.

I don't need to know what Trump says or does in regards to his sham of a reelection campaign. He's also in decline, but on top of that he's a fucking sociopath.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Well, the only two candidates that have a chance of winning barring special circumstances are Trump and Biden, so you either vote for one of them, vote pointlessly for someone who you know won't win, or don't vote. Take your pick. In my opinion, if you take the second option, you should save your time and energy and just take the third. The second option has no effect whatsoever when it comes to changing things. Not even when Ross Perot got almost 20% of the vote.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 7 months ago

Exactly. This is why I'm so pissed because I'm forced to pick between 2 bad choices and depending on what state I live in my vote may not have the same value as another state's vote... And yet we go about our lives everyday complaining about how shitty it is and never doing anything about it. I don't know how people function with things being this way.

Girl, stfu, we all know. You’re not helping us avoid the fall.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 7 months ago

She probably imagines herself as the next best choice. Like this time she'd beat him for sure.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago

This Biden old shit has been really getting pushed very hard the past week.

I don't need a million articles reminding me.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

While I agree with her, lets not go down this road again. We need someone else. Some one else not already about to go to the old folks home.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 7 months ago (1 children)

If Biden decided not to run tomorrow, the Democratic candidate would inevitably be Kamala Harris.

Cue a million cries of "No that's not what I meant!"

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago)

Right? I don’t get this. Look Harris is not my first choice for president compared to… well anyone else I had to vote for in the primary she was in. But I’d still take her over literally any person who still feels the republicans represent them in any way.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

“I talked to people in the White House all the time, and you know, they know it’s an issue, but as I like to say, look, it’s a legitimate issue,” Clinton told Wagner. “It’s a legitimate issue for Trump who’s only three years younger. So, it’s an issue.”

Dear gods, we know they're both old. Everyone knows they're both old and it's an issue. What does this buffoon think she's doing going on national television and stating the obvious and handing sound bites to the opposition. No wonder this idiot lost to Trump.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

It's a legitimate issue that Trump shares.

Anyone who thinks Biden is too old at 81 needs to explain why they think Trump is perfectly fine when he will be 81 in 2027... at the same point in his 2nd term as Biden is now.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Oh I think they were both to old to be running in 2020

[–] [email protected] 3 points 7 months ago

It's crazy. I used to work with a guy when ge was 65. He was really experienced and knowledgeable. Then i haven't seen him for a bit and ge was 72 the next time. He went from knowledgeable and trustworthy to annoyingly wrong about a lot of things. He's now 81 and i would never again take advice from him because his well of knowledge has turned into a stew of being wrong
