Looks like Dan Da Dan. What I’ve watched so far is a bit anime tropey, but the animation is very good. Made by the same studio that made the recent Devilman Crybaby series.

If you think this is the only reproductive healthcare that people are dying for lack of in the US, you have vastly overestimated your expertise of the subject matter.

Oh no, not the same thing I’ve been doing since the mid 90s! I might die if I migrate sites again! Or something.

Making a social network only usable by around 5% of the population and then complaining when only 5% of the population shows up is a pretty indicative attitude of why so many FOSS projects struggle to get widespread adoption. You don’t get to choose how tech literate the population is. You either make it more useable or you accept a limited audience.

Has an aggressively unpleasant user base and nowhere near the blocking functionality that Bluesky has, which is essentially mandatory now for minorities on the internet. Not to mention an onboarding process that can confuse the tech literate, much less the average person.

This comment is not an invitation to talk about how actually it’s very simple and intuitive if you follow a 20 step process that relies on detailed knowledge of how federation works.

Although Teixeira asked Discord members not to share the documents, an investigative journalism group, Bellingcat, found that Teixeira's friends spread the documents widely, first to other Discord servers, then to Telegram, 4Chan, and Twitter (now called X).

What’s the saying? Three can keep a secret if two of them are dead?

But in a centaur, the human torso is placed where the horse neck would be. If it was the torso that was replaced they would look more like satyrs.

Lil dude is about to have a carb coma we can only dream of. Look at that fry-to-body size ratio!

Think of all the time you’ll have for activities once you do it!

Meanwhile, in ‘Commie-fornia’, I regularly see kids that age riding on the (public, not school) bus alone. And when I lived in New York I’d see them on the subway. Not the slightest bit unusual in the early afternoon when school lets out.

But conservatives are terrified of their neighbors, for some reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Same guy? I don’t know where this particular ideologue lives, but it would hardly be the first (second, third, fourth…) time newspapers “accidentally” presented career conservatives as a “randomly selected” voter.

Fucking annoying how often it’s the trauma, really.

He’s probably on some weird designer drug. Not because he has to evade tests like athletes, but just because he thinks it makes him smarter than taking FDA approved drugs.

I saved it from a cropped image of an old zine and forgot to make note of where I got it 😭 Reverse image search isn’t helping me

Queer shitposters you’re my only hope!

Socially, medically, or otherwise.

Unexpected T pro: my cat loves aggressively head butting my facial scruff after a day or two of not shaving

Unexpected T con: my cat’s hair gets caught up in my facial hair any time I do this and it’s annoying to get it all out

Alt text: pictures of suburban neighborhoods and homes with text over it that reads: “this is no place of honor. No esteemed deed is commemorated here. What is here is dangerous and repulsive to us. Turn back.”

Note: this is not a request for troubleshooting help.

For the past few years my 10ish year old “smart” TV will maybe once a week or so completely lose the ability to play sound in the Youtube app, and only in the Youtube app. Sound works just fine everywhere else. Bizarrely this is always triggered by an ad and never a video. Restarting the app doesn’t fix it, and neither does clearing the cache. Fortunately doing a full restart of the TV fixes it, it’s just irritating to have to restart because an ad somehow broke the sound.

What technological gremlins haunt you?

An interesting exploration of Etaoin Shrdlu.

We fired the art department and replaced them with an orb. It hovers about four feet off the ground and follows us around the office. Sometimes it feels like it's waiting for something. Sometimes it follows you home. Jim says it told him to dig into the dirt. It will save the company twelve dollars.

I’m getting an error when I try to upload pictures that says:

“syntaxerror: JSON

Parse error: Unexpected identifier “Request””

I saw an older thread on here about the same error and it was suggested it could be a file size thing, but the files I’ve tried uploading are around 30-50 kb so I don’t think it’s that.

It doesn’t seem to be an issue with the file itself having something causing an error either, as I’ve tried using image files made on different computers as well.

As the title says, what are your favorite books with trans protagonists?

I just finished Light From Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki and thoroughly enjoyed it. The main character is a runaway trans girl who wants to be a violinist. Without spoiling too much it’s also a sci-fi/fantasy story and has a lesbian side-romance. TW for rape and general transphobia.

What Moves The Dead by T. Kingfisher is another favorite of mine. It has a nonbinary protagonist and is a SFF horror rewrite of The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allen Poe. If you like an alt-history Victorian setting with the undead this is straight up your alley.

Warning: Jesse Singal is looking for trans youth near Minnesota to interview

For anyone unfamiliar with Gwen Smith, she’s a cofounder of TDOR and a reporter for the Bay Area Reporter.

If you know any trans youth around Minnesota please pass it on to them or their families!

For anyone unable to see the post without a Bluesky account, it’s a picture of a flier that reads:

NOTE: It has come to our attention that journalist Jesse Singal has been reaching out to families in the area to gather stories, quotes, and personal accounts from trans youth and their families for a new book. Jesse has been listed on the GLAAD Accountability Project as expressing anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric and spreading misinformation about the trans experience. QUEERSPACE collective and other LGBTQ+ youth organizations in Minnesota recommend not engaging with Singal or any of his proxies, even for debate or conversation, to avoid providing additional material for his upcoming works.
