Edit to add - we'll probably also upgrade Pictrs (the software that shows you the pictures on lemmy) at the same time to version 0.4.7 as advised as part of the migration pathway for Pictrs V5 (coming soon!).
There may be a period of time during this window where you will be able to access the site, but images won't load - don't worry, this is expected!

The irony of Epic winning an anti trust lawsuit, while actively trying to ruin the pc games market with their anti consumer practices.
I've not weighed up R2's storage cost per gb vs Backblaze yet so it is something I will look into, but currently Backblaze offer free egress up to 3x our monthly storage. We're only storing about 190gb, so we can transfer over 550gb comfortably for free per month. Currently we transfer on average about 300gb from Backblaze so we're not being charged for it.
There is also the possibility of getting totally free egress, but its been a while since I looked at that, and relies on the Pictrs dev changing something in the Pictrs software, if I am remembering correctly.
Hoping to jump back into Cyberpunk soon. Have started playing RDR2 and have been having a blast with Ratchet and Clank
Thanks! It's crazy how quick 6 months has gone. I'm genuinely so thankful for everyone who's joined here!
It really has flown by! :)
❤️ thanks for being one of the first!
I'm probably a heathen for saying this, but i just wish the steam version had a smooth scroll option.
I've been dipping in and out for the last 4 years, and it really has come a long way. However some of what was in the video wasn't accurate of the game in its current state (fires on ships and NPCs on trams were the two that stood out on a quick watch). FWIW, I see the game takes about 26gb of RAM at the moment performance wise.
Lots of the performance issues can also be attributed to poor server performance - if you get on a brand new server then you can really tell the difference than one thats been going a while. Hopefully that will be fixed soon too.
I'd say loops are still somewhat lacking, like the bare bones of the loops is there, and there are some progression mechanics, but you can see what they're going for.
Pyro was great though, can't wait for them to add it to the PU.
And yes, the whole time I played Starfield I couldn't help but compare to SC. In fact, SC has ruined my enjoyment of lots of other space games because nothing comes close to that experience.
Playing some Stellaris, bought Grounded too on the recommendation of friends
