That's some RFC 2549 logic, right there.

I, too, am a John Stewart connoisseur!
I thought the same thing, except this is like a reverse-Infamous plot where (presumably) Tony is Doom rather than Doom is Ironman.
I trust Marvel & the Russo Bros quite a bit at this point, but this is definitely a weird casting.
I really want to give him the entirely unwarranted benefit of the doubt that he's saying it won't matter in 4 years bc he won't be running (making the assumption he'll win this time and reach his term limit) but having watched the video I dunno, that "we'll have it fixed by then" sounds reeeeaaally ominous.
I just finished reading the LotR series with my now-11 yo son (we started a few years ago) and there were definitely plenty of sections like this that I converted to more understandable terms and concepts on the fly. Sure my son may not have heard this exact line, but he definitely got the idea that ~~Shelob was old, bad, and Sauron had encouraged get 8 in exchange for a scary guard in the tunnels into Mordor~~ the fell beasts were scary.
Edit: apparently my son may or may not have gotten an entirely different version of the book told to him!

You have the leave the fox with it.
Bottom line, there's always a possibility a cloud/service provider could lose you data. That chance is (/should be) exponentially smaller on their environments however than the likelihood of your own local stores.
If you're really serious about preserving your data, consider the 3-2-1 Backup Rule:
3 copies of your data 2 different types of media 1 copy stored off-site
Careful, this is the exact mantra of the right. They just want a little dictatorship to get things back in line and then things will go back to normal.
SPOILER: it won't
100% agreed. I think they're going to take a turn towards that starting with the new Deadpool movie and culminating it in the next Avengers movie(s) but yeah, I've about had my full of the multiverse saga at this point.
Nothing replaces common sense, but I've been using ESET for years now and have been really happy. Just the AV mind you, none of the other security suite bs.
Digital Cinema Package; basically the movie file you're watching when you're in a movie theater.
