I wonder if anybody in my town uses Lemmy lol.

[-] [email protected] 7 points 3 weeks ago

I am sorry, is there supposed to be a video there? As nothing is showing up in Firefox Beta (Android).

Check out Softwarr "for free" or Real Debrid and Stremio/Kodi if you wanna spend some well spend money, the latter guarantee more content than Netflix etc, the former everything that could ever exists on the internet.

If it fails it is totally on them.

I watched a YouTuber telling something like:

"I cannot believe Apple's biggest premium VR tech wants to change the world... And they are advertising it with... Fucking spreadsheets"

I am paraphrasing ofc, but the meaning was that this could have been a pretty good toy for everyone, but they are trying to sell it as a work-buddy thingy, yeah seeing those spreadsheets focus was kinda dystopian (like in Ready Player One where they are caged doing work or something hah), watching movies in crazy sites yeah, that was what would have sell it more for me, and other ppl, if it wasn't crazily expensive.

Yeah, lots of them, but keep forgetting them from time to time... The dude with the huge ass font is the most remarkable to me.

[-] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago

Isn't she? That's it, I'm out of Lemmy /s

[-] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago

And yeah, lots of variability and replay value with those mechanics I think

It feels like a Tears of The Kingdom pocket edition (which is a silly thought as both are portable games lol).

Overwatch

Curiously both titles are dead nowadays, like literally dead.

Ah got it, well you cannot be sure the same people who is against Nintendo is the same who wants to play the newest Metroid (well, maybe you could, if you investigate, as Lemmy userbase is still small, it would be feasible, but it would be a waste of time IMHO).

Also there is another fraction of people who will play their games but won't support Nintendo financially ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ so yeah, this subject is just not white and black I think.

And it had some killer online multiplayer!

And still, thanks to Wimmfi, you can still play with others, it is the only reason it never leaves my flashcard ๐Ÿ˜†

It kinda sucks that my favorite format, handheld is so low compared with the other hardware (yeah, I'm not considering mobile as handheld lol).

I have been noticing it taking longer loads times since today...

Tested using Sync for Lemmy mostly, but also happened with Voyager.

3 hours in the background seems a lot to me.

I started the app clean and configured it from the start (it was a pain in the ass because I migrated my settings from Sync for Reddit lol) and the issue still remains, having this huge background usage prevents my phone from going to deep sleep properly which lends to a bigger battery drain.

EDIT: BTW the issue is gone when I set the app to restricted battery mode instead of optimized... But I'd rather keep it in optimized as it closes less often in the background, that is how I had it with Sync for Reddit, which on average its active background was several minutes only.

EDIT 2:

This is the process that Battery Guru/BBS says shows

This is the app called Franco Kernel Manager, one of the best kernel managers that are out there... Even when it was outdated (which I think that's the cause it got booted from the PlayStore?).

I used it to check the process of my phone and monitor the active and idle drain mostly, I paid for it a long time ago, but now it just fails to check the licence and it doesn't let me use it fully... I think there must be a cracked APK over there...

EDIT:

Fortunately the app is back in the store and hopefully that update version comes soon enough!

I'm not saying particular genres, we all have our less desired musical genres, I mean music in general.

When I was a child I was very confident to say that I hated music, all kinds, and my cousin used to say that was not possible.

Turns out he was right, and I only hated the teenage music my sister from the 90s used to listen to.

Secretly I enjoyed soundtracks and OSTs from several media, such as animes (digimon openings and battle themes for example) and some TV shows or even videogames.

Then my taste "evolved" and pretty much stayed at rock, heavy metal and alike.

So that little memory lane inspired me to ask about this.

Jump Ultimate Stars was a very popular game (overall in Japan) thanks to its big roaster, game mechanics and combos potential.

Maybe it went under the radar from some people because it never got out of Japan... but many people got it from different ways... (It also helped that the DS is retrocompatible).

Currently it is possible to play this again thanks to Wiimmfi (yeah, shocking Nintendo ending official servers right guys?).

Anyway our discord is getting pretty active as of lately, and the server not needing to patch the ROMs (you can play with original hardware) and some emulators like MelonDS being able to interact with original hardware makes it widely easier to play this day.

Here I share some YouTube accounts where you can see how we play this game:

Leonzill

Some1fungi.

If you want to give it a go be sure to join us in the Discord, or perhaps you are not interested in playing with others, if that is the case you can enjoy the main campaign as many folks find it very good too and talk about it there!

Fuck my prior preparation day with the Chromecast with Google TV before the hotel checking....

I don't travel too often so my Chromecast needed some tweaking (AKA updating system and apps etc), I like to take it as a travel companion and found out this shitty frame around the TV.

It is the first time it happened to me, I can see this being annoying for frequent travelers.
