Pokemon on Gameboy. Physical books and comics. Sketching.

Shampoo bottles while pooping.

It's still a hot mess. Helped my wife set it up for developing a Java webapp with Tomcat and it's such a mess to set up, compared to IntelliJ that I could just set up a Springboot easily.

Me too. I do remote work. Our rural home is comfortably big enough to accommodate 5 people. It's cheaper to share bills, no rent, CoL is cheaper in the rural area too.

My baby bonds well with my parents too.

It's the only game from FromSoft that I've ever beaten. I find QoL much more bearable compared to DS1. Parrying allowed me to stand toe-to-toe against bosses also. No more rolling around.

I'm thinking about either Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth or Warhammer40k: Rogue Trader.

However, I wouldn't be playing them anytime soon with my backlog. So, I'm likely to just sit this sale out.

Was it Remake for DS or was it just a remaster?

To me, remasters are like StarCraft remastered that gameplay stays the same, but the graphics got upgraded.

Remakes are like FF7, Dead Space or System Shock that is made from scratch.

Yeah, it's clungy.

So far, I like that attacks are well telegraphed. Not holding for seconds, then coming down on a flash like in ER or LoP, but I haven't even reached the second major boss yet.

Personally, I like the new one over Lies of P. The transversal with the mix of the umbral and the living world feels less linear with some puzzle. Mobs are annoying, and weapons feel clunky, though.

Let's see if I will grow to resent it more as I progress deeper.

A lot of spicy quotes I could steal.

I'm going to ask ChatGPT how to prepare a garotte and then I am going to strangle you with it, and you will simply have to pray that I roll the 10% chance that it freaks out and tells me that a garotte should consist entirely of paper mache and malice.

Funny, that's why I picked EV as a family car. I could turn on the AC and let my daughter and my dog sleep without any brum brum.

Finally, user profiles.

How is it?

I was interested in it also but, other than modules, it looks like a traditional split keyboard that I could get for way cheaper, but damn those modules look juicy.

Found a dungeon full of knights and clerics last night. What's the lore behind them?

From some in game notes, it looks like they are a legion of deserters, but they also have those penitent knights. I doubt that knights who are zealous enough to put on those dreadnaughts would desert the church.

I'm looking for an external monitor for both programming and gaming. Currently, I'm using a 1080p monitor, but I'm tired of turning my head between the macbook and the monitor when I have to deal with 3+ windows.

So, I think a 2K monitor would be a nice improvement for my QoL, wouldn't hurt my GPU too much compared to a 4k monitor. Any suggestion or should I scrub the idea?

Whenever a fast paced action game like Devil May Cry, Prodeus, HiFi Rush or Doom have a grading system then I would feel like not continuing them as if some one is judging my performance, instead of a bar to get better.

It's weird that this feeling never happens in a game like Hitman or Overcooked. I view them as challenges, but not grading like in DMC.

Imo, Compared with Storm Gate, ZeroSpace look more geared towards SC2 fans compared to SG that is more WC3 with trees that serve as removable obstacles.

I'm trying out Trillium Note and prefering it over Obsidian. I wonder if there's a community anywhere on Lemmy.

I like to learn some tip and tricks.
