What episode is that? I'm into MTG, I'll give it a listen and tell you if it's boring for someone who is interested in it.

Anyone else have their firefox keep crashing on Linux Mint? Particularly when I'm on websites like discord or youtube that aren't just text.

I wish I could. Alas, I am already a noble knight on sundays.

Biweekly threads sound good to y'all? Should it be weekly?

Thread Question 1: What's the weirdest deck you play?
Thread Question 2: What's the weirdest deck you've played against?
Thread Question 3: What's the weirdest deck concept you've got in your head?

Most casual history youtubers I watch can't go 20 minutes without making sinophobic "jokes". Anyone have better recommendations for learning pre-modern chinese history, everything from culture, monarchs, etc. of China that doesn't include liberal ideology or racism? Thanks!

I've never trusted buying off of them cause I don't want my bank info stolen but I've recently realised I can just pay with paypal lol. Can anyone recommend which of those sites that sell keys for steam games are legit? I just need 3 copies of l4d2 to game with my friends.

Welcome to the weekly/biweekly/monthly (TBD) Magic The Gathering thread. Discuss a 30+ year old mega-commercialized hyperaddictive card game with us!

Thread Question 1: What formats are you playing? What are your favourite decks to play in these formats?
Thread Question 2: What is your favourite non-infinite, non-immediately-guaranteed-winning combo to play in magic?

Comm to talk about magic the gathering. I formed a discord server for hexbears to talk magic before, but some people prefer matrix, and we're generally too different in timezones for a discord to be appropriate. I would like to discuss the game and share resources for playing the game cheaply/for free.

I should have enough time to mod this myself.

Hey everyone,

I have a ton of pngs, jpgs, webps, mostly of fantasy art. I want to be able to mass-tag them with things like "character", "environment", "elf", "demon", etc. and then view them based on tags. Can anyone recommend software like this for linux? Bonus points if it also works on windows. Thanks!

first of all, why do I have to tell the chef how to make the steak? "medium rare"? "well done"? those are words made up by wizards or something. second of all I don't like how they taste. they're super expensive and they just taste so boring. chicken goated steak boring. I'm in my early 20s so I'm getting used to some "acquired taste" things slowly like wine and coffee but steak is still so bland.

I'm hyped. Visuals look nice.

Feel free to join up. We play with digital tools which mean you don't need to own any cards in real life to play. Link is open for next 7 days, if you see this post after then, send me a DM for a fresh link. https://discord.gg/7uwdVZCp

Magic the gathering usually requires you to pay money to get pieces of cards to play with IRL, but we don't have that restriction playing digitally.
I usually play on Tabletop Simulator, but there's also the free and less computer demanding Cockatrice.

For newcomers to the game: Magic the gathering is a fairly complicated game, but you can learn it incrementally, learning new mechanics as you get more involved in it. I'd be happy to teach beginners. When you begin really understanding it, it only gets more and more fun. It's also a social game, meaning there's modes of play where you don't have to try hard, and you can play for fun without playing to win.

If you're interested in playing, leave a comment or send me a DM and if we get enough people (a regular game takes 3-4 players) I'll try to organise a game. Note down your timezone as well in your message if you're comfortable sharing that.
