I mainly find that movie funny at the suspension of suspension of disbelief that the audience is supposed to have that someone could blow up an airport in Paris and somehow not be immediately arrested/shot. The movie was made after 9/11 as well. Do Americans just not believe that foreign countries have cops or something

these aren't the techbros that know about AI either AI is actually quite boring and mainly involves computers doing statistics based on past results to generate predictions. These people learned about AI from star trek.

Well France has had soldiers with machine guns patrolling beaches to prevent anyone wearing burkhas and has massive support for far right politicians among young people one of whom is a favourite to win the next election. Also Charlie Hebdo is French so yes it is definitely at least as bad
