not speaking to my zionist aunt isn't going to get her to change her mind (like you said), and it's not really going to help anyone. i'm not even bothering to speak up about her beliefs right now, because it's not the right time. she's too deep in her feelings. it's about picking your moments.
i mean, i also don't live in the same country as her so it doesn't really affect me. if someone's saying heinous shit around you all the time, and they won't respect your feelings, i get the decision to cut off contact to protect yourself. but i don't buy into this "guilt by association" stuff.
this is it. as soon as you label yourself "anarchist" or "communist," you've handed people a trash bin that says "put all my new or uncomfortable ideas here"
just focus on the ideas and people will be way more open-minded
