This is a perfect thread to ask recommendations. Particularly death/thrash metal or old school type beat hip hop. Y'all got any?
Iโve been posting some old school hip hop just go to my profile posts
On it
I don't know metal genre umbrellas like I used to but Ice-T got a shockingly based act in Body Count rn
Shit if you have any hip hop tracks I fucks with it. Paster troy vice versa is on repeat right now
Slugdge is a proggy tech death band with amazing riffs and solid songwriting. Esoteric malocology is their most recent release and their best and they are supposedly coming out with a new album next year.
If you want to listen to death metal that sounds like a space demon lord burping out acid, Demilich is pretty fucking sick and unique and unfortunately only had one album in the 90s that sounds way ahead of its time.
Yo that song of slugdge war squids. I had to slow it down to appreciate some notes they're hitting. Some mad talented guys around
Ok listening to slugdge ayy its hittin. Its hittin.
Lemme check demilich. That description sounds exactly like something id be looking for
Anaal nathraak are rated. More of fire than blood is a baaaannngggeeerrrrr.
Shiiit I know them. They go hard. Might re up
Wooooooooo they are silly it's doooooppe.
Fallujah remastered Carved in Stone recently as well and it's good. The drums are way... more in the song and you get to hear them chugging away and it's so cool. I don't know the words to describe it rn. Just more in your face and I like that.
They kind of remind me of belphagor
I haven't heard them but my bf will have so when he's back ima have a listen ๐ช
Got a song from them. Belphegor conjuring the dead. That right there.... That song right there. That shit will have relatives worried lmao
It's literally "Satan music". This is what my mum used to hear when I stuck any post hard-core on lol
It's cool, i like more energetic fast stuff I think but you and my fella would get along as he adores stuff like that.
Omg that's in a dragon ball z game?
I'm still autistically listening to supers first OP on repeat still.
Right? Then I remember these the guys that make guilty gear and they got some banger songs too
Fuck I ripped on OP for sounding like only listens to vidya soundtracks and here we are doing it ๐ค lol
You're right. Lets fix this https://yewtu.be/watch?v=xjKyzwqIT7s
Aaaaaa my bf fucking adores these.
I get so much music from him, my favs though that I listen to are like pop/edm/emo alt post hardcore. I'm that basic alt girl.
What about: https://youtu.be/dQt8RyGihu4
And then here's me with this on immediately after https://youtu.be/VG3maF87Y9Y lol pop can be good even if it's "chart". OPs a hack.
Have you heard Chvrches? Aaaaaa they are my favs.
That metal one is good good. That pop one remind me. You might like this one. https://yewtu.be/watch?v=XQGwjhDANVA
I do!!! It's so inoffensive as well just a vibe track.
It sounds like some of those 90s tracks my sibbling like. I can't recall the names of them. That is one thing sometimes there were vibes but can't remember the artists for instance
I just spent 30 minutes trying to find a song based on just a line in my head. I hate brain fog
Shazam ain't taking these humming
Shazam can't help if I'm tone deaf
Osu osu osu fuck yeah okies ima listen.
Stand by...
Just make sure not too many are around they gonna think you need exorcism. This gets my saiyan blood pumping. Now you have me going on a rabbit hole
On the death/thrash front, have you stumbled across Crypta and/or Nervosa yet? Same label, and a couple of the same members; Crypta is an 80's/90's death metal throwback with more modern production techniques, and Nervosa is more thrash-oriented.
Nervosa i know of crypta not so much. Logged
Thrash metal? "Infest the Rat's Nest" by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Dont wanna spoil it but its a space opera about climate change and killing billionares and shit.
Omnium Gatherum album by King Gizzard has a few old school hip hop type beats.
Imma give these ones a look. Never heard of omnium so that is a bonus
