Yet somehow it was normal to own a house, two cars, and to have three children with a single income of a guy without a college degree like here:

Simpsons house

Yes I know it's a fictional show, but it was designed to be relatable so they modeled it after an average family back then.

Any article that cites Krugman is self-evident bullshit.

Krugman has made an entire career out of carrying water for the ruling class.

The Ministry of Peace concerns itself with war, the Ministry of Truth with lies, the Ministry of Love with torture and the Ministry of Plenty with starvation.

Brought on you by this guy...

Politically, Parker has donated to both Republican and Democratic initiatives and fundraised for Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign. He partnered with Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) to help strategize the best way to invest in “opportunity zones.” The initiative was part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and aimed to reduce taxes on major companies which pushed capital into lower-income communities. 7

My personal experience is that the current economy is every uneven. Some folks are doing extremely well (mainly the ones who had their housing sorted before the Pandemic), others are not seeing their wages rise to account for the increased cost of everything.

The overall average might be trending higher, but good luck telling that to the people that are getting the short end of the stick.
