Mark Robinson attended a truck show in Mt Airy NC tonight. He burned his hand leaning against a truck and was taken to the hospital. I’m told by an official source that he is fine and home now.

Can we get that truck a medal?

He touched an exhaust pipe didn't he...

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 month ago

Is there a hot hole he won't touch?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

Actually, he smurfed its smurf.

That’s painful. I did that once: stepping down from the truck, I grabbed the handhold running up behind the door…. But it wasn’t a handhold. I got pretty lucky since I was actually holding onto it, so was in contact way too long. However I plunged my hand into a snow bank and was mostly ok

I did that when I was like 6. I didn't know! Hurt like hell! My palm swole up into a giant blister.

So he had his hands on some dude's tailpipe and it was so hot, it sent him to the ER with burns. Checks out.

Hey don't stigmatize!

It could've been glowing his truck nuts as well.

Going with flammable material for the hood was a poor choice. Not very breathable too.

I’m thinking about getting metal legs. It’s a risky operation but totally worth it.

Mike Lonergan, a campaign spokesperson, said in a statement late Friday night that the 56-year-old Robinson suffered second-degree burns during an "incident at a campaign appearance at the Mayberry Truck Show in Mt. Airy," a city located near the border of North Carolina and Virginia.

Without further specific context, I just assumed this was a parody piece given the recent revelations.

Mt. Airy is Andy Griffith's home town, and was the inspiration for Mayberry.

They're using pyrotechnics at GOP events, I guess.
