I like how his "warning" is just a negative Puerto Rican stereotype.

Joe Rogan may have warned him... but the Trump campaign is the one that green-lit it when they put his script into the teleprompte

“You know that’s a joke,” Rogan said. “That’s like going to a Quentin Tarantino movie [and saying], ‘And then the man killed that woman.’ Like, he didn’t really kill that woman … this is a movie.”

I don't know where to begin. Joe said earlier that it isn't a comedy show, so don't do a set there and then he's calling out Obama. How about you go fuck yourself Joe. Also, you fucking suck at comedy too. Your set sucks.

Joe Rogan would have you believe this "joke" goes down well in comedy clubs.

But I'm not buying this: I get insult humor and I don't mind getting insulted when it's funny. But Hinchcliffe's Puerto Rico thing is just a straight insult. I don't find anything remotely funny in his "joke" at all. Do you? Is there any redeemable comedic value in it that I'm missing here? Honest question.

Imagine you're in a comedy club full of racists...

[–] [email protected] 16 points 6 days ago

He goes on to say basically "they're coming into our country" (they are citizens) and "having far too many children." It's not roast comedy. It's just things racists say about everyone who isn't white. Shouldn't roasts be tailored to the group they're roasting? It is just low-effort racism.

I think Sam Seder was talking about how he did this set in an NYC comedy club the night before and it bombed there too.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago

The funny part is that he's looking down on them and encourages you to do so too.

I mean, it's a late night staple to joke about New Jersey or Staten Island in a similar fashion, but there's no racist undertones involved when they do that.

IMO insult comedy is only funny when it's punching up

When Joe Rogan is trying to talk some sense into you...

And failing...

Joe Rogan is what stupid people think smart people sound like

[–] [email protected] 8 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Fewer and fewer people give a shit about either one of these guys.

The difference is Tony's "career" is now over. Can't undo that. Good luck, idiot.

There is a pretty healthy blacklisted comedian circuit. Look at how many bookings Roseanne got on her hate tour.

50% of Americans will support him.

How many people do you think will be apathetic (both ways)? How many of the people who are already tuned into his edgy humor will care?

I think Hinchcliffe made a simple mistake: he thought "How can I crack a joke about a part of the USA, that is not a state, doesn't have federal voting rights and is full of despicable assholes?" But the racism kicked in at the last moment and he went "Puerto Rico!" instead of DC

The one time I hope joe Rogan is right
